Which book has particularly impressed you recently and why?
‘Building a Second Brain’. The book is absolutely up-to-date. We are drowning in information and yet we often don’t know how to use it. Our consumption of information has increased enormously, but how do we process this knowledge? The book offers a guide to consciously collecting, organizing and using information to increase creativity and productivity – a tip for anyone who wants to set up their own personal information system.

Which person, living or historical, would you like to meet and why?
Michelangelo Buonarroti. I would like to know what hidden details he left behind in the dome of St Peter’s Basilica.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
The ability to change probabilities. The probability of getting cancer is about 50%? Now only 0.01%. The probability of winning the lottery is just under 0.00000072%? Now it’s 99%. That would make perfect sense.

What do you like about working at ondeso?
At ondeso, I particularly appreciate the freedom to be creative and try out new ideas. The team is a valuable resource that you can always count on and working together is simply fun.

What activities would you recommend to non-Regensburgers?
Get a coffee to go and sit on the sand opposite “Lazarettspitze” by the dog beach. It helps to slow down and you can meet interesting people.

What exactly is your job at ondeso and what does a typical working day look like for you?

As the only UI/UX designer at ondeso, I am responsible for the design and optimization of our future user interfaces. My working day starts with a cup of coffee and a quick check of my emails and to-do list. I use the first few hours for concentrated work, often concept work or research. Then we have our daily team meeting where we discuss our progress and challenges. I spend the rest of the day on design tasks such as creating a style guide, conceptualizing interaction designs and creating prototypes. An important part of my job is also to work closely with developers, marketing and product management to ensure that our designs are appealing as well as functional and user-friendly.

How would your colleagues describe you?

Hopefully as empathetic, patient and passionate about my work. Probably also as having a wide range of interests, as I enjoy hearing stories from other subject areas. My colleagues would probably also describe me as enthusiastic and motivating.

What did you want to become as a child and what brought you to ondeso?

As a child, I wanted to become an artist because I had a passion for aesthetics and structure. Over time, I discovered my enthusiasm for the digital world and the possibilities to shape it creatively. This passion led me to media informatics and eventually to ondeso as a UI/UX designer. Here I can combine my creativity and technical understanding to make our software user-friendly and appealing.
